Community Health
Health is an important composition of any population affecting the process of development. A healthy population is an asset to the country. We focus on enlightening the community on the importance of maintaining a healthy life style. Some initiatives include:
- Strengthened linkage through private public partnership for higher level of care and outreach services.
- Community involvement to address antenatal care attendance, delivery and immunization to promote healthy babies
- Partnership to address emergency service through linkage to ambulance
- Mapping of chronically ill patient e.g. Diabetes, hypertension and drug abusers, HIV and AIDS to form a psychosocial support group at the nearest health facility that can be supported with drugs and health education and linkage to national support organization e.g. NGO
- To reduce the Hospital bills burden, great emphasis is laid on NHIF subscription through various income generation point such as informal sector e.g. Tea pay slip, Coffee pay slip, Milk and even voluntary payment to NHIF which are relatively cheap. Further, other methods of health insurance policy are being explored.
